Liver Flush Benefits
There is a lot of information on daytime television lately about detoxing the body. Once again, I'm so happy people are finally catching on to this healthy trend. Being the Queen of Detox since the mid 90s, I fully understand how important detox can be.
Several years ago I heard about the Ion Detox Footbath and have written about its health benefits. However, the Ion Detox Footbath is only the tip of the iceberg. Since detox is what got my muscles and joints working again and what has saved my gallbladder and my liver, is it any wonder that I can't say enough about the miraculous effects of this little known, little understood therapy?
Back in the mid 90s I had what may be described as a congestion on my right side, just under my rib cage. There wasn't any pain associated with the congestion, however, knowing my body the way I do, I knew something was out of balance. I went to a natural health doctor and he suggested I do a Liver flush. I got the instructions and muddled my way through my first detox.
When a person detoxes the body, especially for the first time, they can expect to feel tired and may possibly, but not always, experience symptoms of headache or dizziness. After the liver flush I was extremely tired for about 24 hours. I continued doing the liver flushes every two weeks wherein my experience improved each time in that I no longer felt tired after each of the flushes but instead had so much energy that I could have been bouncing off walls, as the saying goes. Also, I noticed that my muscles and joints felt better. Having had Lupus, or similar symptoms including getting the rash from being out in the sun, I was elated to find that the liver flushes were helping my muscles and joints. After about 9 of the liver flushes my body was feeling as good as it did in my 30s. By taking some natural supplements, any pain that was left in my body simply went away. To date I have done 19 liver and gallbladder flushes, each one leaving my body with more energy and less pain. Another benefit is that I no longer have any allergies whereas years ago I was allergic to just about everything.
Before doing the liver/gallbladder flushes it is important that all organs of elimination are open and the body is free of parasites because they block the passages of the liver and may make one very sick if that is not addressed first.
Detoxing the kidneys is also recommended before flushing the liver and the gallbladder. There is an herbal formula that is highly effective for this detox. It is important that it not be used in excess and that the instructions be followed implicitly simply because you don't want to feel like an elephant is sitting on top of your head nor do you want to feel the detox-tired-feeling which are the only side-effects if too much is taken at once.
Basically, if you want to feel better and improve your health it is important to understand the role that detoxing the body plays and the benefits to your health that it imparts. There is nothing better for the body than fasting and detoxing, however it is important to know what you are doing and to stay within the guidelines set by those that wrote the book on natural health.
